What We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and name through Clerk, our authentication provider. When you use Home Desk, we store the bill data you enter: names, amounts, due dates, and categories. We also store basic usage data (pages visited, features used) through Vercel Analytics to help us improve the product.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide the Home Desk service — displaying your bills, sending email reminders, and generating spending forecasts. We use your email address to send bill reminders via Resend. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve advertising.
Email Reminders
Home Desk sends automated email reminders for upcoming bills at 7 days, 3 days, and the morning each bill is due. You can disable reminders for any bill at any time from the bill settings. You can also delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Third-Party Services
Home Desk uses the following third-party services to operate: Clerk (authentication), Convex (database), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting). Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data required for each service to function.
Billing and Payments
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Home Desk does not store your credit card number or payment details. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy and security policies.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible through the end of your billing period. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of your data, request correction of inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at support@hellohomedesk.com.
